Preparing to work with me
This page outlines the criteria for working with me. Please read it carefully before booking a session.
How do I know if this service is appropriate?
My work focuses on helping professionals navigate complex relational and political dynamics that fall outside formal legal or organisational processes.
This can include:
• workplace bullying, scapegoating, exclusion, or reputation attacks
• power imbalances with managers, colleagues, or teams
• organisational conflicts where formal HR processes have failed or are not appropriate
• controlling or manipulative behaviour from leaders or peers
• difficult dynamics within professional, spiritual, or community networks
Situations I Do Not Work With
I do not work with issues involving:
• intimate partner abuse
• family disputes or divorce involving children
• criminal matters or situations involving law enforcement
• cases currently being handled through the judicial system
If your situation falls into one of these categories, you will need support from legal or therapeutic professionals.
When This Work Is Appropriate?
This service is suitable when you:
• are navigating a politically or relationally complex professional situation
• want practical insight into the dynamics shaping that situation
• are looking for strategic options you can implement in the real world
This work is consulting and strategy focused. It is not therapy and it is not legal advice.
Eligibility Requirements
To work with me you must be able to answer YES to the following.
You are actively working with a therapist or mental health professional to address personal trauma or family history that may influence how you relate in these situations, or you are willing to engage in therapy alongside this work.
You have reliable self-regulation skills and can manage distress without relying on this service for emotional stabilisation.
You maintain some form of reflective practice that helps you process experiences and gain awareness of your role in relational dynamics.
You are willing to examine your own agency in a situation and consider alternative responses, even when others have behaved poorly.
You have stable support structures in your life (trusted relationships, therapeutic support, financial and housing stability) so that disrupting entrenched dynamics does not destabilise your life.
Why These Requirements Exist
The work we do together is action-oriented and often involves challenging entrenched dynamics. It requires emotional stability and the capacity to make deliberate decisions.
For that reason I reserve the right to decline or discontinue sessions if it becomes clear that your needs would be better served by a trauma therapist, legal advisor, union representative, or other professional.
