Welcome! I’m Nathalie…
I am an ex-systems biology and cancer researcher turned Narcissism Hacker, consultant and independent medical culture researcher. As a highly attuned observer I became acutely alive to the fact that toxic behaviours metastasize, just like the cancer tumours I was studying so closely.
I posed questions, developed and tested theories, researched, found others around the world and co-created collaborative programs to address issues such as saviour burnout among health professionals, executive leaders and activists.
My book, entitled The Little Book of Assertiveness (2019) provides practical strategies and scripts for responding to dominating, controlling and discriminatory behaviours without compromising the relationship or one's values.
As a global consultant for leaders in healthcare, tech and related industries, I now help individuals and small groups to navigate professional relationships that feature narcissistic behaviours.
I work with those who are at the centre of a toxic storm. Often, high-performing individuals will not have experienced professional problems. In fact they have made all the ‘right’ moves and now, inexplicably, find they have moved from Pet to Threat to (potentially) Disgraced and Scapegoated. Reputations and livelihoods are at stake. Quitting, quiet or otherwise, is not always the wisest course, or even a realistic option.
This is where I come in.
In 1:1 or small group sessions over a short time period I help people manage risks to reputation and career progression. My clients develop skills and strategies to successfully negotiate with corporate psychopaths and prevent psychological, financial or reputational harm. I continue to write, speak, research and raise awareness on the topics of narcissistic leadership, narcissistic behaviours, their early warning signs, the conditions that result in narcissistic relationships, moral injury and toxic workplace culture.
